Happy Birthday, Sword Chant !

17 years ago was born Sword Chant under the shape of a forum in phpbb2. We all had good time there, I remember and then, the social networks expansion killed many forums, the forums of Sword Chant included.So, I launched the website you know and tested and tried the different facebook groups versions over the time and, if that was fine for one parallel project of mine closed lately, I still believe it's not a good thing for Sword Chant, and the forums appeared like best tools for.

Then, the Forged in Folk forum was launched on Sword Chant birthday - 17 years after, and this is the very first post on this forum in modernbb this time. I hope you will like this place not so different of the Sword Chant forums era if you were part of its memberlist. The Artist rank for bands members could be requested again, like in the past - more on this later. Left for me a lot of things to do such as icons or the rules, but I want to trust in you, for being nice each others, awaiting them online.

So here, on this Folk Metal and Trad. Folk forum, listeners, musicians, fans, artists, PR and everyone can have fun and talk stuff like music, gigs, instrument, pets and whatever you like ; You can also translate lyrics of your favourites artists to your mother tongue, the ones with the permitted agreements available on Sword Chant website and again, more information later on. I've been thinking of the sharing of un/official/trad sheet music for a few moments too but for now, I still don't know on that matter. A thread or Discussion group can be on that topic if you are interested. I have some more ideas for this place - too early for now - but if you too have ideas, you can open a thread in this subforum, opening the discussion.
